Where did May go?

I must confess: I can't believe how busy I've been lately! I guess it's just that time of year: graduations, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, general summer time fun and as always housework! Even as I sat down to write this blog, I had to stop and go fold laundry. With a full time, temporary job, I barely have time to do anything anymore! Or am I just becoming a better juggler? Must be the juggling thing. Today I asked my husband for some help. Can you make dinner? Well you would think I just asked him to cut off his arm. And with all the time I spend giving him specific instructions on where everything was and what to do, I might has well made it myself. Now he thinks he's so freaking awesome because he made dinner. In the mean time, I did 20 other things that needed to be done around the house, but he's still walking around (or should I say sitting in front of the TV) with that 'I'm so awesome cause I made dinner' look on his face. Ugh! Are ya kidding me? Whatever. 

So here is my latest nail polish color from OPI's NYC Ballet Collection, called Care to Danse? This is with 3 coats. I really didn't think it would be so sheer, so I'm not all that in love with it. I think I'll go back to my brighter happier colors. At least for summer.

Stuperstitions

I must confess: I don't believe in superstitions, because, well I think they are stupid. They should be called stuperstitions. Get it?!
I never understood them. Black cats, broken mirrors, Friday the 13^th, walking under ladders its all crap.  When I find myself in a building with more than 13 floors 99% of the time there is no 13th floor. Does it really fool any one into thinking 13 is really 14? I don't think so.  I know people believe all this stuff, so let them. There isn't enough room in my head to think about it.
I have more important things to think about.
Like what nail polish to use on my next pedicure! Yep that deserves space in my head!

What does my current nail polish and my parents have in common? A lot!

I must confess: this is by far my favoritest nail polish color to date! It's called For Audrey by China Glaze. A tribute to Audrey Hepburn in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'. I was drawn to the color because it's a pretty Tiffany blue, but also because its named 'For Audrey'. Audrey Hepburn was and probably will always be my dads favorite actress. I remember as a kid him talking about her and I too, became a fan. A woman of style, grace, and beauty. I could see what he loved about her.  When I was in my mid to late twenties, I asked my dad what was it that drew him to my mom, he responded with 'she looked just like Audrey Hepburn'. I was surprised, I thought really? mom looks like Audrey? I'll be honest, I didn't see it and neither did my mom. I'd seen pictures of my mom from those years and searched for some semblance of Audrey in her but couldn't see it.  A few years later I came across a photo of my mom I'd never seen before and there it was, Audrey looking right back at me. I saw what my dad saw.  Why he fell for her and why they've been married for 45 years. Because of Audrey.

New Nail Polish color!

As I confessed early, I love nail polish! This time around I did a mani/pedi with China Glaze 'Dress Me Up' from the Hunger Games collection. LOVE!!!!

N.G.W! (nails gone wild)

I must confess: I LOVE nail polish. Can't resist buying it. To look at my rainbow collection of nail polishes just makes me giddy! I'm really digging this color right now, it's from OPI's Holland collection, 'I don't give a Rotterdam'. Sometimes I think I buy a polish because of the name, CrAzY right? My next color will be from China Glaze's Hunger Games collection!
